The Value of Life—Returning to the Embrace of Our Creator

Recently, several artists have passed away—Barbie Hsu (Da S), a young Chinese actor, Singaporean actor Lin Yimin, and now Kim Sae-ron. The passing of life is heartbreaking and reminds us that our time on earth is but a fleeting moment (Psalm 39:5). We may possess wealth, fame, and talent, but in the face of eternity, all these things fade away in an instant.

However, God did not create us to drift aimlessly through life. He has given us meaning and hope. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) He does not look upon the passing of life with indifference—He deeply loves each one of us and longs for us to return to His embrace, where we can find true belonging in His love.

Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10) This abundant life is not merely about temporary success or fleeting joy but about eternal hope and finding true purpose in God’s will.

We may not have control over the length of our lives, but we can choose how we live. Let us cherish each day, fix our eyes on our Creator, and find true peace, strength
